philosophy, policies and FAQ’s:

philosophy: mosquito supper club has been operating for over 10 years as a pre-paid restaurant. our philosophy is to be a model for sustainability in the food we procure and the business model we’ve created. we charge what we believe is a fair price so we can offer fair wages to our employees, buy the best possible ingredients and operate sustainably as a small business. everything from composting our food scraps and recycling, to only operating 5 days a week so we don’t over do it. we only seat a handful of people each night by choice. we take holidays off. all of these things figure into the price of a reservation with us, the ability to pay a person fairly, to offer health insurance and to survive as a small business. please consider all those things when you dine with us.

reservations: when you book a reservation it is non-refundable. that means you can give your seat to another person if you can’t make it but we cannot refund you. much like buying a concert ticket we only have so many seats we can fill and our small business cannot recover from folks not showing up for their reservation. we can try to work with you on a reschedule if you give us at least one week’s notice. we will not discuss refunds or our policies at the restaurant during service. we do not have a telephone. if you have a question please send us an email at reservations@mosquitosupperclub.com.

bar: Mosquito Supper Club also has a full service bar offering an a la carte menu, classic cocktails, creative seasonal N/A temperance drinks and a small but mighty wine list. you can come early, sit in our courtyard or bar and have a drink or a dozen oysters on the half shell. our bar is open 5:30 -9:30PM wednesday -sunday. NO reservations are necessary.

corkage: we are pleased to open up to two bottles from your home cellar for a $45 fee per 750 ml bottle, and each additional 750 mL bottle for $65.

seating: we have multiple seating options available on resy. please read the description before you book :)

mistakes: please be careful when booking your reservation. if you make a mistake while booking please email reservations@mosquitosupperclub.com. one person returns this email so please be patient. please note that we don’t answer questions on our social media accounts. also if you send a message to our instagram, facebook, twitter and an email on the same day this makes us sad.

dietary restrictions: our menu is about celebrating louisiana seafood. if you have a shellfish allergy or can’t eat seafood we cannot accommodate you. we also cannot accommodate dairy allergies, vegetarians and vegans. we can accommodate nut allergies and gluten allergies with one week’s notice.

cash: we do not accept cash. you can pay with a check or credit card. if this is an issue please contact us and we will work with you. not accepting cash makes our business 100% safer for our guest and staff.

service charge: all of our reservations are handled through resy. we charge a 25% service charge on all our reservations so we can pay our staff fairly, provide health insurance and operate sustainably as a small business. the only additional gratuity expected is on anything you purchase while dining with us. if you don’t agree with the way we run our business we understand but please do not send us an email challenging the way we operate.

attire: in the words of kurt cobain “come as you are.”

gift cards: we do not offer gift cards. be creative and make your own :)

kindness and patience goes a long way. please check your energy before you come into our establishment. please be aware we will not discuss our policies during service. we are professionals (and humans) trying to guide guests on a culinary adventure. this is our home and we will not deal with abuse.
